The heart of the teak tree, shaped by Mother Nature to have their unique one of a kind aesthetic beauty, these benches are roughly shaped to maintain their natural beauty by the local people of Bali, Indonesia. Most of these roots are obtained from trees that have been cut down as much as 100 years ago, and are now finally being cleared because of current developments. These benches are able to sustain themselves without rotting because the teak tree, solid and heavy obtains its strength and durability from the sand in which it grows. The chemical make-up of the wood allowing it to draw sand particles from the earth into it's cells, to become part of their make-up so they can grow to be, literally, half rock. Thus making them able to survive in the ground without be massacred by indigenous wood eating bugs due to their natural strength and durability these emblems of power will be able to rough out the winters in your back yard, or casually sit in your living room having been highly polished by us to bring out the natural beauty of the grain of the wood, making a great addition to any home.
